John Pinner | President


John Pinner has served as President of Pinner Construction for the past 30 years. Under his leadership the Company has grown from constructing $5M to $100M+ in projects per year. Founded in 1919, Pinner Construction is a 4 th generation family owned and operated firm. The Company specializes in delivering publicly funded capital improvement projects to the governing agencies in Southern California.

In the past decade these types of projects have been more frequently awarded to successful contractors by way of alternative procurement delivery methods. The shift to these types of methods is to empower the awarding agency with the ability to select a firm that has the best reputation, experience and management plan in conjunction with a competitive price. As a result of John’s first hand involvement in all facets of the Company, Pinner Construction has a strong reputation for delivering projects that are constructed to the highest level of quality, integrity and honesty. The Company’s reputation has allowed the firm to be successful in winning projects through these alternative delivery methods. Prior to serving as President, John began his construction career as a laborer on construction sites in the 1960s. To this day, John remembers the physical exertion it took to work as a tradesman. He treats all employees with respect, dignity and compassion. In return, he has had tremendous employee loyalty.

Most upper level management have been with the firm in excess of 30 years. A majority of mid-level management has been employed by Pinner for more than 15 years. Several tradesmen have been with the Company in excess of 10 years. This Pinner family pride definitely translates into a positive working relationship between our Clients and personnel.
