Description : Pinner Construction recently completed the Gardena Transit Administration, Maintenance & Operations Facility using a Design-Build approach.   Pinner selected Jacobs Global Buildings as the Designer for this project.   The 10 acre campus includes a 2 story 24,000 SF administration building that remains operational 24 hours a day.   The 43,000 SF maintenance building contains state of the art equipment to service the entire fleet of transit vehicles.   The 4,000 SF bus wash and 2,800 SF brake inspection buildings along with the 3 SCAQMD certified fueling lanes provide an all inclusive service yard the City needs to maintain its transportation services.   A portion of the bus parking lot is shaded by a 108,000 SF photovoltaic structure that includes over 432 modules which provides green power to the campus.   The project is currently under consideration by the USGBC for a LEED Silver rating.
