While our project owners have experienced Pinner’s consistently superior performance for decades, its nice to know our colleagues in the industry have noticed, too. For example, our excellence in the public sector is evident by several distinctions the Public Works Council of the Building Industry Association has awarded us.

We have also received many Outstanding Achievement and Certificate of Merit awards from various public works organizations, including the Southern California Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

We received our latest safety award on December 3, 2011, awarded to us by Liberty Mutual and LAUSD for Silver Safety Excellence and being .66 (LTCR) Loss time case rate which is lower than the BLS standard of 2.3 (LTCR) for four LAUSD projects:(CRES #21, SRES #4, SRHS #15 and Dorsey High School) from April 30, 2010 through May 1, 2011.

Superior public service in the 1990’s is reflected in awards from the State Compensation Insurance Fund for Accident-free workman’s compensation and safety records and in honors from the California Association of Minority Americans for spirited support of minority subcontractors. Pinner Construction Co., Inc., was named Builder of the Year, with awards in 1973, 1978, and 1980. Jack Pinner was recognized for Outstanding Leadership in 1975 and John Pinner earned the title three years in a row: 1977, 1978, and 1979.

While we appreciate and are humbled by these awards and distinctions, nothing surpasses the deep feeling of personal pride and satisfaction that comes with providing the people of Southern California more than 90 years of dedicated, caring, quality construction services.
